This event is a time for learning, fellowship and relaxation. Consider this a spa for your mind - a time to be filled with God's love and lessons.

You will enjoy a catered meal of appetizers and dinner Friday evening and breakfast Saturday morning. When you check-in on April 9, you will recieve an event packet filled with special event items. Just bring your mind and appetite!

About Valerie Mangrum

Raised at The First Baptist Church of Lakewood (General Conference Baptist) in Long Beach, CA, Valerie has worked with Baptist, Evangelical Free, Episcopalian, and Presbyterian congregations. A 1978 graduate of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, she and her husband have over thirty years experience in church plants, campus fellowships, singles ministries, young adult gatherings, choral groups, and children's programs. She is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Ms. Mangrum is passionate about hospitality, stimulating worship, and Bible study. She has written study guides to several biblical books including The Gospel of Mark, Esther, First and Second Peter, The Gospel of Matthew, Ephesians, Daniel, and The Gospel of John. Since early 2008 her ministry has included the discipline of writing daily mediations on the presence of God in ordinary life. These devotions may be found online at www.crookedknees.blogspot.com.

Valerie has a warm and vibrant personality. She is an accomplished writer and an insightful speaker. A compassionate listener, Valerie is also an eager student, learning from others who are following Jesus. Valerie and her husband presently find their home and ministry in Durango, CO. She is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and second in command to a Jack Russell Terrier named Oscar.
